James R. Daniels - Home Designer / Residential Contractor
James, a native of Goldsboro, North Carolina, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Environmental Design & Architecture, earned in 1994. With over 30 years of experience in residential design and custom home building, he has built a stellar reputation for delivering exceptional, detail-driven homes that combine architectural integrity with refined livability.
Over the course of his career, James has served in a variety of key roles—including Chief Home Designer, Estimator, Project Manager, and Licensed Residential Contractor—gaining comprehensive expertise across every phase of the home design & building process. His portfolio spans a range of styles and scales, from cozy first time family homes to expansive and elegant custom estates, each tailored to reflect the unique lifestyle, preferences, and long-term needs of the homeowner.
His approach is highly collaborative and client-centered. From initial consultation through final completion, James remains closely involved at every stage, ensuring each detail is thoughtfully considered and precisely implemented. His masterful implementation of design principles, client communication, and construction methods, allows him to create homes that are not only aesthetically compelling but also functionally livable and built to last.
Brad Curtis - Residential Contractor
With over 40 years of experience in the building industry, Brad is a highly respected residential contractor known for his dedication to quality, efficiency, and integrity. A decorated U.S. Air Force veteran, Brad served eight years and graduated second in his class at the NCO Leadership Academy. His military service laid the foundation for his expertise in construction methods and leadership.
Following his military career, Brad transitioned into the Lumber & Building Materials (LBM) sector, where he founded Eastern Carolina Building Products. He later served as General Manager for a multi-million LBM company, overseeing sales, operations, and procurement, and driving significant growth and operational improvements.
Since becoming a licensed general contractor in 2001, Brad has successfully completed a wide range of residential projects — from custom homes to apartment complexes and townhome communities — across multiple counties. His hands-on experience, strategic leadership, and client-first approach have earned him a reputation for delivering high-quality projects that stand the test of time.
Brad takes great pride in building lasting relationships with clients and industry partners, and he remains committed to exceeding expectations on every project.

Custom Home Design & Drafting
The custom home design process starts with a consultation meeting with James Daniels, where we discuss your detailed vision of your home and budget. James will then create a preliminary home design and gather feedback from you to refine and perfect every aspect of your customized home plans. Once the design is finalized, detailed construction drawings are prepared, followed by guided & advised material selections for pricing, ensuring that your home is perfectly tailored to your specific needs & budget.
Home Building
Once we go to contract, Brad Curtis then personally oversees the construction of your home, managing the project from start to finish. Working closely with James Daniels (your designer & project liaison), Brad ensures that every fine detail of your home plan comes to life.
He uses skilled subcontractors and guarantees compliance with all residential building codes, while keeping the project on schedule and within budget. With his meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence, you can rest assured that your home is in very capable hands.
Additions & Renovations
When it comes to designing & building additions or doing renovations on existing homes, the process is all about enhancing the space while maintaining its original charm. James & Brad carefully assess your home to create thoughtful designs that seamlessly blend with the existing structure. Once the design and pricing phase is complete, they handle the project with precision and care.
